Looking for the right paramedic job to develop your clinical skills?
Annual salary: £39,500
Opportunities: full-time, part-time, hybrid and school-time-hours roles
We’re looking for experienced paramedics to join our Assessments Division. Whether you’re seeking flexible working and a better work-life balance or a new career path outside of the ambulance service, we have a number of job opportunities to suit you.
Discover a new and rewarding way to use your clinical responder skills and help people move forward with their lives.
About the role.
You’ll carry out functional assessments to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects their daily life, and produce factual reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. From September, this will include PIP assessments and Work Capability Assessments (WCA) as part of the Health Assessment Advisory Service (HAAS).
Every assessment is different – you might work on complex cases involving physical and mental health conditions or chronic pain disorders. We’ll make sure you get the time you need with each customer to undertake a quality and respectful assessment.
- A HCPC registered paramedic with 1 years’ broad post-registration experience gained within or outside of an NHS ambulance trust in the UK
- A proactive and keen learner with excellent oral and written communication skills

- An expert clinician comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including complex cases and mental health
This role is a great opportunity for registered paramedics to develop their clinical knowledge and hone their assessment skills, all while making a real difference to people’s lives.
