of nurses.
A registered nursing job with a difference.
Annual salary: £39,500
Opportunities: full-time, part-time, hybrid and school-time-hours roles
We’re looking for registered adult or mental health nurses to join our team. Whether you need a break from shift work or are seeking greater flexibility and development, we have a number of job opportunities for nurses who want to continue helping people but need a better work-life balance.
Join our team as a Functional Assessor and discover the joys of a non-clinical nursing job that allows you to use your clinical skills in a rewarding new way.
About the role.
You’ll carry out functional assessments to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects their daily life, and produce factual reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. From September, this will include PIP assessments and Work Capability Assessments (WCA) as part of the Health Assessment Advisory Service (HAAS).
You’ll work on complex cases involving physical and mental health conditions and chronic pain disorders. We’ll make sure you get the time you need with each customer to undertake a quality and respectful assessment.
- An NMC-registered adult or mental health nurse with at least 1 year’s broad post-registration experience in the UK
- A proactive and keen learner with excellent oral and written communication skills

- An expert clinician comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including complex cases and mental health conditions
This role is a great opportunity for registered nurses to develop their clinical knowledge and hone their assessment skills further, all while helping people move forward with their lives.
