Getting ready for your interview.
Set yourself up for success.
-
Get comfortable with the job description
Read the job description so you have a good understanding of the skills and qualities required for the role and can show why you’re a strong candidate. If relevant, think about your soft skills and technical skills.
-
Familiarise yourself with the STAR method
Prepare some answers to demonstrate your experience and capabilities using the STAR method, showing how you’ve handled relevant situations well to achieve a desired result.
-
Don't be afraid to ask questions
Take the opportunity to ask the interviewer some thoughtful questions so that you get the most out of your interview and can show you’re enthusiastic about the role. You might want to know what an average day looks like or the type of people you’ll be working with.
-
Practice on your own or with others
Practice questions and answers out loud to help you prepare, feel more confident and give the right impression. If it helps, ask someone to take part in a mock interview with you so it’s more realistic.
-
Do your research
Do some research to find out more about what Maximus is like as a company, including our values, culture and the support services we offer. This will also help you determine whether or not it’s the right fit for your career aspirations.
